I've been planning my Pirate!UK cosplay for FUCKING AGES and I thought everyone knew, considering how I WON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP about it. Hoping to finish it for ALA. 8Db

TODAY I FOUND OUT my friend Kitty not only didn't know about my Pirate!UK plans for ALA, but that SHE'S MAKING 7 YEARS WAR/WAR OF AUSTRIAN SUCCESSION PRUSSIA FOR ALA. PFFFTTTTTTTTTT WE MATCH SO DAMN WELL.

We've been really REALLY REALLYYYYYYYYY good at making/planning matching cosplays for events WITHOUT KNOWING IT. I swear, we should probably talk to eachother more often about the cosplays we have planned, but we don't and we always find out randomly before the event that we match. XD GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE, YEA? [But we've never been the same character, either! GOOD COMBO, YEAH? ]

First it was
Byakuran and Irie Shouichi from Hitman Reborn for AX'09

Then it was
Planning Magnet Luka and Magnet Kaito from Vocaloid for AX'10

And now it's
Austrian Succession Prussia and Pirate!UK from Hetalia for ALA '10

WE'RE REALLY GOOD AT THIS.

Touhouvania!China, Pirate!UK, and Punk!UK are all new cosplays. Grell is old, but will be fixed up and improved muchly.

I've already started on all the new ones (patterns for Touhouvania!China done, patterns + pieces cut for Pirate!UK, guitar started for Punk!UK), but I haven't finished a single one. XD;; In order to keep myself from going insane while studying, I've been picking up pieces of cosplay to work on during my 20-minute study breaks. There's not much you can do in 20 minutes, but every little bit will help, considering how I usually procrastinate in the end... OTL.

Of my three new cosplays, I'm most excited for Pirate!UK. I keep designing and re-designing it in my head, and I've been researching props and whatnot in my breaks. >3< It's exciting to cosplay an official!variation of a character that has... no reference, despite being official, hahaha. I get to grab the idea and just run with it. I'm excited~ [I'm also going to be poor after this cosplay. HOMG SO MUCH GOLD BRAID NEEDED]

Touhouvania!China's going to be the first female cosplay in a longggggggg time. Not much ref for her costume either [there's no full body shots! Whyyyyy~!], but I'm not so ecstatic about doing my own thing for her. I have zero inspiration for her Chinese-ish vampire costume, despite being Chinese. LOL FAIL.

Punk!UK is the character CD UK. I'm kind of scared of making the jacket, hahaha. XD Been working on the guitar, though (I'm going to make two. The red bass guitar he has on the cover, to be accurate, and A FUCKING UNION JACK GIBSON EPIPHONE A LA NOEL GALLAGHER, TO BE FUCKING AWESOME, evenifit'snotofficial**CRY**) I love making props. ;A;

Okay I've had one for ages, but I never used it. Also my username was really fucking long. [I don't know why, but all my usernames from a while back were REALLY FUCKING LONG. God, I don't know what I was thinking.]

So I made a new account since the old one was rotting. I still don't know if I'll use the new account; most of what I do on livejournal is browse communities (Hitman_Reborn comm took so much of my time back in the old days, hahaha), read fanfiction (guilty pleasure :'C), and download doujin. XD I'm not really aware of any of my friends having LJs except for a few, but if that changes, I'll probably start using it.
